  Accreditation
MTSU Aerospace had been nationally accredited since 1992. The Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI) has accredited all five of the Aerospace concentrations!

  Flight Labs

Students should download and print the entire Lab Request Packet for each semester they are applying for. The first two pages of each packet should be signed and then submitted to the flight school secretary within the appropriate application periods listed below. Late forms will not be accepted or considered.

A federally certificated Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technician with an Inspection Authorization, Mr. Hawkins is a U.S. Army veteran and served as a CH-47 Chinook helicopter Flight Engineer with the 101st Airborne Division. Mr. Hawkins earned both his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management and Master of Education (Aerospace) degrees from Middle Tennessee State University.  Mr. Hawkins began his civilian aviation career with Stevens Aviation. In 1991, he became the Chief Aviation Maintenance Technician for the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation. His training and repair experiences include Sikorsky and Bell helicopters, Beechjet, Citation and Lear business jets, King Air, MU-2 and Twin Commander Turbo- props and the Beech 1900 series commuter aircraft.
