Students should download and print the entire Lab Request Packet for each semester they are applying for. The first two pages of each packet should be signed and then submitted to the flight school secretary within the appropriate application periods listed below. Late forms will not be accepted or considered.

Andrew Symonds joined the Aerospace Department in February of 2008. Prior to that Mr. Symonds worked in Admissions at Jacksonville State University for two years and Middle Tennessee State University Admissions for two years. He received his B.A. from JSU (2003) and his M.S. from JSU (2005). His professional and collegiate memberships have included the Delta Chi Fraternity, the Chi Theta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ALACRAO), the Tennessee Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO), and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

Mr. Symonds provides academic advising and guidance to current and potential students; he works primarily with new freshmen and transfer students, but assists all students within the Aerospace Department. He reviews student overload, course substitution and Academic Fresh Start requests before final approval.
